A Morning at Endeavor Cancer Hospital

Ahead of race weekend, our team had the privilege of visiting Endeavor Health's new cancer hospital in Elmhurst, Illinois. Partnering with the Elmhurst Cycling Classic, riders spent the morning going room to room — hearing firsthand from warriors what a diagnosis did to their plans, what treatment actually feels like week over week, and again and again, how well the staff had taken care of them.

Those conversations are the reason Above + Beyond Cancer exists. We race so the people we love have programs, community, and supporters climbing the mountain alongside them. One theme was consistent: the unrelenting bravery these fighters carry — and it was incredibly inspiring to our team.
